Balsam Flower Seeds

1. Prepare the Soil
Use fertile, loose and well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. The soil should retain some moisture without becoming waterlogged.
2. Sow the Seeds
Sow the Balsam seeds approximately 0.5 cm deep and lightly cover them with fine soil.
3. Water Carefully
Water gently after sowing and keep the soil consistently moist during germination. Avoid excessive watering or standing water.
4. Provide Suitable Light
Place the seed tray or container in a bright location. Once established, provide approximately 4–6 hours or more of sunlight, depending on local conditions.
5. Thin the Seedlings
When the seedlings develop several true leaves, thin or transplant them to provide enough space for healthy growth.
6. Fertilize
Apply a balanced fertilizer or suitable organic fertilizer periodically once the plants are established. Follow the fertilizer manufacturer's recommended dosage.
7. Maintain Soil Moisture
Balsam performs well with consistent moisture. Water when the surface begins to dry, while ensuring proper drainage.
8. Remove Weeds
Keep the growing area free from weeds so the young plants have sufficient access to sunlight, water, and nutrients.
9. Remove Faded Flowers
Remove spent blooms when necessary to maintain a tidy appearance and encourage continued flowering.
