4. Vining Support: Install a strong trellis network, fence, or overhead bower setup early to support the heavy climbing vines and prevent ground rot.
5. Harvest Timing: Pick the gourds when they are young, tender, and the skin can be easily pierced with a fingernail before they turn woody or hard.
