1. Sowing Method: Sow seeds directly 1–1.5 cm deep into loose, deeply loosened, stone-free sandy loam soil mixed with well-rotted organic compost.
2. Sunlight Requirements: Position your cultivation beds or containers in an open space that receives 5–6 hours of direct, bright daily sunlight.
3. Watering Schedule: Water regularly and uniformly to maintain even soil moisture; dry spells followed by sudden heavy watering can cause the roots to crack.
4. Plant Spacing: Thin out young sprouts early to maintain a distance of 8–10 cm between plants, allowing the round roots adequate space to expand underground.
5. Harvesting: Harvest promptly when the root tops push slightly above the soil line and reach roughly tennis-ball size, ensuring they remain tender and sweet.
