Celeriac Seeds

1. Nursery Sowing: Surface-sow the tiny seeds shallowly 0.3 cm deep in seed trays, pressing them lightly into fine organic potting mix as they require light to sprout successfully.
2. Sunlight Requirements: Position your cultivation beds or containers in an open space that receives 5–6 hours of direct, bright daily sunlight.
3. Soil Preparation: Plant seedlings out into loose, deeply loosened, highly fertile loam or sandy loam soil mixed thoroughly with old manure; avoid compacted dirt that deforms root expansion.
4. Watering Schedule: Maintain exceptionally steady, uniform moisture; water regularly at the base to keep the soil consistently damp and protect roots from becoming tough or stringy.
5. Harvesting Habit: Harvest carefully using a garden fork in late winter when the central bulbous crown swells to roughly 3–5 inches in diameter and the leafy top stalks remain fresh.
